double / knot is an interactive and experimental book that explores the lasting effects of extended institutionalization through fragmented text, abstract visuals, and a disrupted layout.

It is hand-constructed and Risograph printed in black and red Riso ink. The cover is laser cut from plywood and housed in an acrylic case, available in either black or red. The pages combine different papers, including cardstock and vellum, with thread used as a visual element.

This project was pursued as a master’s thesis project in the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
